Vital and health care planning and research - Data sharing

The General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR) has officially replaced the General practice Extraction Service (GPES) to help patients and practices to ensure data safeguarding is in place. It will ensure that data will only be made available to organisations with a clear legal basis to do so for health and care purposes, and are approved following independent scrutiny. For further details about the type of data which is being recorded, and why, please find attached.

This practice is supporting vital and health care planning and research by sharing your data with NHS Digital. For more information about this, please see the GP Practice Privacy Notice for General Practice Data for Planning and Research.

Please note, if patients which to opt-out before data sharing starts with NHS Digital, they will have to do this by completing this form and returning it to your practice by 23 June 2021.
