Appointments with a Nurse

Appointments with our nursing team—such as for long-term condition reviews, screenings, or dressings—can be booked directly by calling us on 0117 954 9828.

We do our best to provide as many appointments as possible, but demand often exceeds availability. To help us prioritise appointments for those who need them most, please consider using other sources of advice and support where appropriate. Thank you for your understanding.

Types of Appointments

Same Day or Next Day Appointments

  • If urgent, our Health Navigators will assess your needs and arrange a suitable appointment.

Routine Appointments

  • For non-urgent issues, appointments may be scheduled up to four weeks ahead.

Telephone Consultations

  • Many issues can be resolved without a face-to-face visit. Speak to a clinician from the comfort of your home.
Home Visits

If you need a home visit, please request it in the same way as booking an appointment. All requests will be clinically triaged and processed, and a clinician will call you to discuss your symptoms before arranging a visit.

When to Request a Home Visit

Home visits are only available if you are housebound or too ill to attend the practice. Your GP will assess whether a home visit is necessary based on your medical condition and will prioritise visits based on urgency. Please be ready to provide detailed information to help the clinician schedule visits effectively.

Other Home Visit Services

  • Community Nurse Visits: If required, your GP can refer you for a visit from a community nurse.
  • Health Visitor Visits: You may receive a visit from a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years old.
Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time. If late, you may need to reschedule, except in medical emergencies.
